12:12: The Canadian HARD of HEARING Association will be holding their spring Speech Reading classes starting the week of March 17th. This 10-week course is designed for the hard of hearing and oral deafened individuals, who wish to gain insight into their hearing loss and become proficient in the fundamentals of speech reading and acquire the skills to enable them to cope better at home, work and play.

12:20: Most Canadians know very little about kidney cancer. However, Kidney Cancer Canada is trying to change that this March during National Kidney Month.

12:35: Ontario wait times for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) have improved since the provincial government’s Wait Time Strategy began in 2004, but a study out of the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES) has found wealthy Ontarians are now 38 per cent more likely to receive MRI scans than their poorer counterparts.
